President/Managing Partner

Tim Dawson is the Managing Partner and President/Founder of Drive Technology Management, with responsibility for all sales, operations and account management.  Prior to assuming his role in 2005, Tim held several executive positions over seven years while at Level 3 Communications including:  VP of international carrier sales with responsibility for all of Canada, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean;  and VP of product marketing for the US.  Prior to this, Tim spent three years at CTC Communications holding the position of GM of their Long Distance Company along with marketing responsibilities for all of the companies under the CTC brand.  From 1986 to 1994, Tim spent  nine years in sales leadership roles with Centex Telemanagement.  He began his professional career in 1983 with MCI as Branch Manager.  Tim graduated from Kansas State University in 1978 with a BS degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.  Outside of the office, Tim spends time with his family, golfing and runs a community garden in his neighborhood.

VP of Business Development

Roger House is the VP of Business Development/Sales & Marketing at Drive Technology Management, where he focuses on garnering new clients, developing new strategic relationships, and conveying the DriveTM value-proposition and messaging.  Roger has a diverse professional background working for both large corporations and in entrepreneurial environments in both the direct and indirect channels in management and as an individual contributor – specifically in voice & data telecom, DSL & wireless telecom, enterprise software, video surveillance, computer hard drive restoration, and eCommerce/Internet.  A native Californian, Roger attended CSU in Long Beach.  Outside of the office, Roger enjoys photography and spending time in nature, engaging in creative writing/poetry, and supporting non-GMO and green initiatives to make our planet sustainable for our children’s children.

Managing Partner

Kirk J. Porteous is a Managing Partner for Drive Technology Management and brings over 25 years of telecom, business management, marketing, strategic planning and client service background to Drive. Prior to joining Drive Technology Management in 2010, Kirk served as Vice President, Client Services in a boutique business operations and strategy consulting firm. In his role, Kirk managed consulting service delivery and client relationships representing several million dollars in revenue and resulting in high client satisfaction and retention. Prior to his time in consulting, Kirk served as Director, Product Development for three years at EMBARQ Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for all new product strategy, development and implementation efforts for the Consumer Markets business unit. Prior to EMBARQ, Kirk served in various executive and management roles for Sprint Corporation including a role as Interim Vice President, Corporate Strategy in 2003 and 2004. Kirk began his career at United Telephone Company of Indiana in 1987 as part of a management training program, holding various customer service, field operations, marketing and product management roles. Kirk received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in Radio and Television in 1985, and a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 1987. Kirk serves on the Board of Directors for Whitefield Academy, a Classical Christian School in Kansas City, MO. Kirk is also serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Directors for Harmon Construction, Inc., a mid-sized construction company in the Kansas City Metro area.
